Hello all,

I was involved in a research project about the impacts of the Urban Agriculture Strategy for London, ON, which was adopted in 2017 - five years after the GrowTO Urban Agriculture Action Plan was endorsed by the Toronto City Council.  An open-access journal article was just published, called: Growing pains: Successes and barriers in London, Ontario’s urban agriculture strategy.  You can access it freely in the JAFSCD - and you can find an overview of the article in the message below.  And now, a synthesis of the journal article just came out in The Conversation - here is the link to that piece: https://theconversation.com/growing-pains-an-ontario-citys-urban-agriculture-efforts-show-good-policy-requires-real-capacity-269804.

I thought that many of you in Toronto might find echoes of the post-GrowTO UA Action Plan in London's experience with the UA Strategy .  Any reactions are welcome!

Best,
Joe

The link I sent you for the JAFSCD article might not have been the best one.  Here is a better link: https://doi.org/10.5304/jafscd.2025.151.009
