Hi Toronto Urban Growers Network,

I would like to invite you to a series of hands-on, soil-focused events happening this season at Rewild Uxbridge—my homestead and microbe farm just outside the city.

If you’re curious about compost, soil microbes, and how to build living soil systems, these events are designed to be practical, accessible, and rooted in real-world application.

🌍 Rewild Uxbridge Open House (Free – Earth Day Celebration)
Drop in between 2 and 5 to meet your local microbe farmer, see different compost systems in action, and get up close with the soil food web under the microscope.
I’ll be offering two short presentations in the brew barn (2:00 PM and 4:00 PM), followed by a guided site tour.
Farmers, gardeners, families, and soil nerds all welcome.

🔬 Microscopy Safari – May 16 ($120/person, limited to 8 people)
Learn how to identify and interpret soil microbes using a microscope. This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to truly understand soil biology and assess compost quality.

🌿 Make Compost With Me – June 13  ($120/person, limited to 8 people)
A hands-on day building compost together. We’ll cover materials, recipes, and how to create biologically complete compost using Soil Food Web principles.

🫖 Make Compost Tea With Me – September 26  ($120/person, limited to 8 people)
Dive into compost tea and extract production, including brewing methods, quality control, and practical applications in the garden or farm.

All events take place at Rewild Uxbridge (Durham Forest area). Feel free to explore our trails or grab lunch at Slabtown Cider after the workshop!

If you’re interested in attending or want more details, feel free to reply or reach out anytime or check out the events page on my website.

Hope to see you this season,
