Applications Open: 2026-27 Cultural Festivals Funding Program  

The City of Toronto’s Cultural Festivals Funding Program supports local recurring festivals that foster community engagement and highlight diverse artistic voices. Applications are now open for the 2026-27 program cycle, with a deadline of Friday, February 13, 2026 at 4 p.m. Details and application forms are available online. Find details and apply. 

Funding Available with Cultural Hotspot     

Artists, collectives and community groups are invited to apply for 2026 Cultural Hotspot SPARK and Signature Project Funding in Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park (KGO). Up to $22,000 is available to support community-engaged arts programming between June 1 and October 31, 2026. Applications are open now and close Monday, January 12. Learn more and apply. 

Call for Proposals: Nuit Blanche Toronto 2026 

The City of Toronto invites artists to submit proposals for Nuit Blanche 2026. Submissions are accepted for Independent Projects, open to Toronto based artists, and Open Call Projects, open to Canadian and international participants. Selected projects may receive funding support of up to $20,000. The deadline to apply is January 9, 2026. Learn more and apply. 

Applications Open for The Experience Ontario Program  

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming has opened applications for the 2026 Ontario Experience program, supporting festivals and events that drive tourism and economic impact. A new Capacity Building Stream offers up to $10,000 for first time events, while returning festivals may qualify under the Established Events Stream. Applications, eligibility criteria and program details are available online. Find details and apply. 

Festival Organizer Survey   

The City of Toronto is developing a Festival Strategy and invites festival organizers to take part in an anonymous research survey. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and will provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by organizers. Responses will help shape meaningful actions to support festivals across the city. The survey closes Wednesday, December 17. Learn more and participate
