Join us at Silver Creek Nursery for a tour of the farm, including a first-hand look at their production practices for growing nursery tree stock without chemical sprays or GMOs. With care and love, they experiment with different growing techniques to ensure a healthy farm ecosystem, including adding cover crops and livestock to their field rotations. You’ll also get an up-close look at their farmer-led research trial comparing grafting methods.

| Meet Fertile Ground Farm’s bitter melon varieties! Each vegetable has a different origin story, and the seed demo garden is another chapter in their journey through our vast and interconnected seed system.
Done in partnership with EFAO and the Bauta Initiative, these seed demonstration gardens showcase regionally-bred and other open-pollinated varieties so that we can find productive, delicious, and resistant varieties that work in ecological market gardens and can be grown locally by local seed companies or on your own farm/garden!
