Grand Opening: Malvern Urban Farm Farmer's Market

Malvern Family Resource Centre has some exciting news...
The Grand Opening of Malvern Urban Farm's Farmers' Market is on August 11, 2021, from 4-7pm at 90 Littles Road (southwest corner of Sewells Road and Littles Road)!
Malvern Urban Farm is a Community Engagement and Entrepreneurial Development (CEED) Project partnership between Malvern Family Resource Centre, Hydro One, FoodShare, the Weston Family Foundation, and the City of Toronto. Opened in April 2021, Malvern Urban Farm brings agriculture into the city, and shows how public lands like the hydro corridor can have a new purpose.
Located on Morningside between Neilson and McNicoll, this 2 acre farm has 14 farmers each farming approx. 1600 square foot plots, growing foods that they and their families and neighbours love. Some vegetables that will be available at the first market are:
- Kale
- Cabbage
- Lettuce
- Eggplant
- Chili Peppers
- Onions
- Leeks
- Tomatoes
The variety of food available will change as the weeks go on but we will always have delicious, locally-grown, organic food.
