Hello!

Starbucks is interested in testing out a program to facilitate access to coffee grounds for compost for community and school gardens in the downtown core in the month of April.

  • Grounds for Your Garden are spent coffee grounds that are collected in Starbucks stores for use in compost or to spread in soil, they are available to anyone for pick-up at participating stores.
  • Starbucks will establish a network of stores that would collect and package grounds for the gardens to be picked up weekly or bi-weekly. This ensures there will be grounds available to the garden when they arrive at the store as well as assurance for the store that grounds they are collecting will be picked up regularly.
  • The grounds will be packaged in the same bag the coffee arrives shipped to stores in so we will also be reusing those bags for transport of spent grounds, each bag will be approximately 6-8lbs.
  • Starbucks will track pickups and quantities to ensure needs are being met on both sides and adjust as necessary to divert as much waste as possible.

If your garden is interested, a representative can contact Rachel at S08...@retail.starbucks.com

Hi Everyone,
Can somebody use this? It's a cactus-growing kit. It's quite a few years old, but the seeds have been kept dry. Free to anyone who wants it.
  Best,
  Alex
