Hello growers!
Just a reminder in case you didn’t hear – the Culture Camp Tour with Chef Johl Whiteduck is happening Wednesday, October 1, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Mashkode Bizhikiins Culture Camp in Lindsay, Ontario.
Participants will enjoy an immersive day of storytelling, land connection, and food, including a guided medicine walk, native plant identification, tamarack harvesting, and a traditional NishDish meal featuring venison stew, wild rice, Three Sisters stew, and wild berry crumble (vegan and gluten-free options available).
Indigenous community members are welcome to attend free – use coupon code CAMP2025 when registering.
Come experience Anishinaabe foodways, medicines, and teachings while connecting with land and community. Please wear long pants and sturdy walking shoes – the day runs rain or shine!
