Hi TUGgers,

Are you a tenant in a Toronto Community Housing property? 

Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) is updating its Community Garden Policy. This policy sets out the conditions and expectations for tenants and tenant-led groups to start and/or participate in community gardens on TCHC property. TCHC is partnering with Toronto Urban Growers to get tenant feedback on best practices.

How to get involved?


Join a virtual session on Zoom.

o   Tuesday, August 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

o   Wednesday, August 27 from noon to 2:00 pm.

o   Thursday, August 28 from 10 a.m. to noon

Come to an in-person session.

We are hosting a series of in-person meetings on September 10, 16, and 17. The times and locations are still being determined but you can express your interest on the registration form. We will contact you to confirm your availability after additional details are decided.


Fill out a survey

The survey will be available August 29 to September 18. You can register now to have the link sent to you when it is live.


 

Eligibility


Both events and survey are only open to current or past TCHC tenants.


These consultations are for you if:

·       You are currently involved with a community garden on TCH property

·       You have been involved with a community garden on TCH property in the past or are working on starting a new garden

If you're a tenant in a Toronto Community Housing property and you didn't join an online consultation, there are now three in-person sessions coming up.

Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) is updating its Community Garden Policy.
