Free farmboxes for all! 

I started an initiative called FARMBOX where I collect discarded fences before they wind up in landfill, then rebuild them into free planter boxes for Torontonians to grow food plants, on front yards, laneways, and other neglected spaces. They are meant for both host and neighbour to water, plant, harvest and enjoy. 

Hoping to have thousands blanket the entire city so you can walk on any block and find a meal, so Toronto will be the largest free Potato farm on Earth, and so we can jointly harvest and store enough plant food to feed us all (someday). Help fight food inflation costs! If you want one (or more), get in touch! They are free as long as you place them in a publicly-viewable spot (as the point is partially to inspire others to grow food where we live). Best way is to fill out the order form on Gallay.com.

Of note, if you ever see someone taking a fence down, let me know! And because I'm pretty inept at getting the word out (and don't use Facebook much), I run an Instagram account @gallayfarms which would be great if you could follow. (There’s some dog and ukulele content, but mostly it helps spread the Farmbox project across the city.) Shoot me a line through Gallay.com or DM if you want a free box or to get involved or you have any question.
