Hello TUGgers,

What a moment we have for our Annual Membership Meeting!

  • The Republican tariffs in the US are driving a buy local wave that includes local food
  • The City of Toronto (and other Ontario cities) have declared food insecurity an emergency
  • Mayor Olivia Chow is expanding school food programs
  • Sustain has released a food platform for the Ontario election 

How do we use this moment to boost our campaign for city support for urban agriculture? We'll be talking about this on February 24, we hope you'll join the discussion.

Please bring any information about gardens and farms in your neighbourhood(s), particularly school gardens. We are changing to a new website in April, so we need your help to make sure we have the most up to date data on UA in Toronto.

Update: Jessey Njau from Zawadi Farms and Many Hands Collective will be joining us to speak about his letter to Mayor Olivia Chow.
