Free Hummus resource

Hello everyone,

I hope this weather is treating you kindly.

My name is Alisha, and I’m the Executive Director of Unified We Grow, a small nonprofit organization located in East York, Toronto (Victoria Park & Eglinton).

We run a weekly food support program and currently have some surplus resources we’d love to share to help reduce food waste.

At the moment, we receive a large quantity of freshly made hummus that is well within its best-before date. We’re looking to partner with one or more food security initiatives, food programs, or organizers with a wide community reach who can redistribute it effectively.

Requirements:

•Ability to drive

•Access to a large vehicle (the volume can range from a few boxes to over 10; it may take up more than half of an SUV with seats down)

•Pickup availability Fridays around 6:00 PM

Once a relationship is established, we’re also open to arranging direct pickups from our supplier, provided there is a firm commitment to strict Thursday pickup times.
