Hi TUG! Can you recommend a reliable pond pump for a 7 foot-tall plant wall (and 4 feet wide)? The pump needs to raise water from a 30 gallon reservoir up to the top through tubing where the water then drips down the mineral wool and back into the reservoir.

We had used a Mastercraft submersible pond/fountain utility pump that conked out after 6 months of continuous use. This pump had the following specs:

1/3 HP; 120 V; 3.8 A; 60 HZ
Max head: 83'/ 8.5m
Max flow: 2280 US GPH

Thanks for any pointers!!

New here and trying to be helpful... the specs on the Mastercraft you show seem like serious overkill. For my ponds and my aquaponics I use PondMaster Mag drive pumps, they are not the cheapest but I've never had one fail.. the impellers occasionally wear out but I can still get parts for 15 year old pumps.

(BTW I have no affiliation with anyone related to these guys)

You would likely need something like the Mag Drive 9.5, though you might be able to use a Mag Drive 7.0
