Hosting for larger site.

Hi
While we're on the discussion of hosting, I'd like some suggestions
for a larger site.
Presently I'm very unhappy with one of my service providers (I have a
VPS with one of the major resellers here in Canada) so I'm looking for
a new home.
According to my Webalizer for the site in question, I'm now doing
about 1.4 million hits a month (and sending out as much as 20G of
data). And my DB is now about +12MB (and growing).
Recently I've been looking into dedicated servers, but I'm quickly
getting over my head on this. Should I even be going the dedicated
server route now? What should I be looking for in a service?
Help will be appreciated.

Just switched to bluerazor.com and am finding it very good.
and quite reasonably priced - we have dedicated server.
