Role: Cloud Platform Architect – Hybrid Cloud 

Location: Atlanta, GA 

Duration: 11 Months 

Remote: Until Covid settled 

  

 Required Skills: 

• Experience with fully managed hybrid cloud platform (Anthos (required), Rancher, provisioning APIs that span private/public cloud.  
• Strong understanding of SRE practice concepts and Google Cloud services such as GCE, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Anthos (GKE) and other Google services. 
• Domain knowledge and hands-on experience in security standards and implementation (OAuth, OpenId). 
• 4+ years of experience as both a hands-on technical architect across cross functional domains. 
• Evangelize frameworks, best practices/policies and implementations to internal project teams and influence project deliverables. 
• Solid understanding of design patterns and anti-patterns. 
• Partners with the Enterprise Architecture team on the creation of the conceptual architecture that addresses the high-level business requirements. Develops Solution Architecture for applicable programs/projects that address key business needs. 
• Strong problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively work both independently and within cross-functional project teams. Effectively communicate issues, risks and dependencies with project stakeholders, escalating where appropriate. 
• Participate in defining the operating model including platform support, code reviews, production deployments, and implementing the security and infrastructure standards. 
  
  

Nice to have Skills: 

• Create reusable API platform services including Logging, Monitoring, Authentication and Security. 
• Experience with API Gateways (Apigee, Mulesoft, etc) and service mesh (Istio, Consul, etc) 
• Facilitate / build-out CI/CD model for IaC (Infrastructure as Code). Hands-on with tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Chef and others is preferred. 
• Understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies. Software development background with understanding of and experience in software development life cycle, DevOps, CI/CD and Agile Methodologies. 
• Google Cloud Certification.
