Seeking a Software Engineer II- Data Migration. It's a 6 months contract opportunity. 100% remote
Job description:
• Required/Preferred Qualifications:
o 3+ years’ relevant experience in Data Migration, Data Quality domain, and the use of data analysis techniques and Integration tools in designing solutions required.
o Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F & O Data import export tool experience preferred.
o Experience work with tools such as Atlas, D365 AOT Table access preferred
o Experience with relational SQL databases required.
o Working knowledge of programming methodologies, structures, and concepts .Net framework, UML, XML.
o Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision and as part of a team
o Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to interact with all levels of an organization
o Excellent customer service skills
o Advanced experience in data wrangling, blending, cleansing, and standardization required
o Experience implementing and executing data migration, integration, and quality development using Integration tools preferred.
o Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience using a version control system is a plus.
o Proven track record of delivering analytic solutions to solve complex problems using a data-driven approach and technical innovation.
The Software Engineer II – Data Migrations will be an integral member of the Reliance Technical Solutions (RTS) Data Integration team and will be expected to develop scalable technical solutions to be utilized in
the data migration effort for ERP implementations across Reliance Family of Companies (FOCs).
The Software Engineer II will collect and curate data from disparate sources, utilize data integration tool suite to perform data interrogation, Cleansing, prepare & optimize data to be loaded into ERP systems.
The Software Engineer II will communicate with stakeholders and conduct research to develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant business needs and requirements.

• Enable integration with third party applications using Microsoft Dynamics AX tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Develop knowledge of the company's applications
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and solve software defects
• Anticipate risks and implement contingency plans to resolve issues impacting applications
• Proactively enhances systems for stability, efficiency, scalability and robustness
Unit Testing and Validation - Ensures developed code meets the technical and functional specifications.
• Participate in the installation and configuration of development/test/production Dynamics AX 2012 environments as required
• Provide assistance in ERP upgrades as required
• Develop and document effective unit test cases to test solution and validate results are as expected
• Ensure the application operates according to functional and technical specifications
• Troubleshooting and resolve software bugs, data, and system configuration issues
Provide Accurate Project Effort Estimates - Ability to quantify and meet individual and project phase level efforts.
• Manage ambiguity, meet and create accurate project effort estimates for their assigned tasks
• Understand, consider and communicate interdependencies for project estimates
• Adhere to RTS project methodology throughout project lifecycle
• Accurately identifies project-specific risks through the software development lifecycle
Adherence to Standards - Ability to create solutions that adhere to and incorporate RTS standards.
• Apply and use information and technology standards in solution design
• Adhere to project management methodology
• Identify opportunities for creating reusable enterprise services
• Obtain key inputs from Enterprise Architecture to ensure compliance and exception management
• Identify commonalities and suggest a consistent approach across projects
