BCforward is looking for a Java Application Engineer in Jersey City. The ideal candidate will be local to twin cities.

Title: Application Designer

Location:  JERSEY CITY | NJ | 07302

Duration: 06 months

 Description:

Designs, develops, installs, tests and documents application software, including server, client and web components. Contributes to the design and delivery of technical architecture solution components. Provides work guidance to less experienced personnel. Provides design documents and translates into component-level designs to accelerate development. Provides design expertise in support of development team efforts to provided flexible reusable components to increase cost effectiveness. Analyzes designs and reviews design of applications and suites of applications to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied. Acts as liaison between application architect and development teams to ensure that product development and implementation are coordinated. Works with product development teams and senior designers in developing design requirements that are accurate and relevant to company needs. Analytical, problem solving, creative thinking and design skills at multiple products. Good communication skills and the ability to multitask.

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience: 3 to 5 years.

Technical Skills:
* Must be highly involved in project planning, estimation, scheduling, prioritization and coordination of technical activities.
* Should manage day to day technical challenges and communicate these to Scrum Master and Product Owner for any risk and issues associated with the development activities.
* Must have a strong background of Java/J2EE framework.
* Should work on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based J2EE applications.
* Must have good experience and exposure in most of the J2EE technologies like Struts 1.x/2.0, Spring 3.0, Restful Web service, Hibernate, EJB, JMS, JDBC, Servlet, JSF, JSP, XML, XSLT, Java Script. Working knowledge of Blaze rules engine would be an added advantage.
* Should be well-versed with IBM rational tools like Rational Application Developer, IBM WebSphere, Eclipse or Spring Tool Suite (STS).
* Experience in SOA and developing Web services using SOAP, REST, XML, WSDL and JAXP XML Beans.
* Experience in design, development and implementation of Model-View-Controller framework using Struts and Spring MVC.
* Experience in development and implementation of ORM framework - Hibernate with Spring Data Access.
* Must have good knowledge on Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Analysis and Design (OOAD) concepts and designing.
* Experience in designing and developing JEE/J2EE compliant systems using IDE tools like Eclipse, RAD and deploying these applications in Windows based local/Development/Integration Domain configurations, application server instances configuration on top of WebSphere.
* Should have a good exposure to Agile. Knowledge of SAFe will be an added advantage.
* Should have experience in test-driven development using unit-testing framework such as JUnit.
