Shabbat Party at my house

We've been going to a Friday-morning "Shabbat Party" program at the
BJCC which is winding down, and I've decided to try to host one here
for my kids and whoever else is around!
We've had two already, and I plan to continue at least through August.
The next one is tomorrow (Friday) at 10:30... about half an hour of
singing, challah and whatnot.
If the weather co-operates, we'll be in the SUNNY backyard - bring
sunscreen, hats, etc.
Otherwise, we'll happily crowd indoors (and I DO mean crowd). :-)

Shalom Jewish moms! Tonight, September 4th, 100s of 1000s of Jewish
women all over the globe will light an extra Shabbat candle for Gilad
ben Aviva, Gilad Shalit, who has been suffering in captivity for the
past three years. The power of our prayers can, with G-d's help, bring
Gilad home to spend Rosh Hashana with his family who miss him and
yearn for him so terribly.
What we're going to do:
1. [if possible, give some charity in the merit of Gilad ben Aviva]
2. Light candles, with an extra candle for Gilad ben Aviva,
before Shabbat starts
3. Pray after you light the candles for the speedy release of
Gilad ben Aviva, and also for strength and relief for Gilad's parents,
who, along with their son, have been living a nightmare, which we pray
end immediately.
In the merit of righteous women, Gilad should be with us very very
soon. May we hear good news!
