Dear Haskellers,

It has come to our attention that March is Yet Another Month Starting With A Wednesday (YAMSWAW), and hence our meeting will be held, as per tradition, on the first Wednesday following the third Tuesday of the month, aka the fourth Wednesday.

See you next week!

Dann

Two topic offers:

1. (\x -> x x) in untyped lambda calculus, and "newtype D a = MkD (D a -> a)" in Haskell, and how they give you recursion.

2. http://www.vex.net/~trebla/haskell/cont.xhtml (By the time we meet, it will contain even more topics.)

Both are fine topics. I wouldn't mind learning both but imo the first should be done briefly.

For the second topic, will there be a section for delimited control? And the shift/reset way of doing things? Would be quite interesting to me

Yes! That will be the 3rd section and 4th and 5th... (Why so many? Because the 3rd motivates and defines shift/reset, followed by one section per application.)
