Thanks for your work, and letting me know about it. :) I just integrated your changes into the main branch, fyi.

Your blocking catch on the XML-RPC side is great. And more tests are always welcome. 

Let me know if you make any more discoveries. Also, just as a general request, if you get a chance to play with the async stuff I recently added, I'd love to hear how it works out for you.
