Ever since the new number has been announced and used, the
following happens: when dialing-in the line is busy. Then,
after a few re-dials, a connection is made. Immediately after
this, a check of both "sys" and "w" reveals a very small number
of users. Question: how come? (i.e., if we have 46 modems on
line, why would only 6 or 7 users cause a dial-in to be busy?).
Thank you for a reply.

There is a configuration problem with one of the two T1 lines which handle
incoming calls. The busy signal is a "fast busy" indicating something
other than a true busy line.
We are trying to determine whether the problem is with Bell or our terminal
server.

Thanks. So far, this problem has not caused any major difficulty
(as I was able to connect rather quickly), but it seemed rather odd.
Oops! The Ctrl-^ key is deactivated again! (It was working a few days
ago, I can swear...) :-)

I noticed the same.

Don't know about that, but I had my terminal set for 23 lines before the
move, and it was reset to 24. No big deal, but since other settings were
maintained (can't imagine otherwise), I was surprised to see the screen
jumping up and down.
I've also noticed that forwarding of e-mail has resumed successfully
(both good and bad, because of all the spam) and telnet is normal.
All in all, good work.
How's about bookmark editing, or am I getting greedy?

That WAS to be my next request! Should we place it on our
wish list for Xmas? :-)
