Quezon City, Sept. 26, 2000 - Nineteen movie companies intend to join ''Metro Manila Film Festival 2000.'' They submitted letters of intent to the executive committee of ''MMFF 2000,'' attaching the titles of their preliminary entries. Ten companies submitted more than one title. A total of 34 titles were submitted.
The “MMFF 2000” execom released the titles of the preliminary or intended entries, including their stars, directors, and genres.
1. Bariso Films (“Ang Sundalo”) Cast: Ian Veneracion, Onemig Bondoc, Bojo Molina, Carmina Villaroel, and Chin Chin Gutierrez. Director: Willy Millan. Genre: Action/drama. “Super Idol” Cast: April Boy Regino, Mikey Arroyo, Carmina Villaroel, and Manilyn Reynes. Director: Willy Milan. Genre: Action/comedy.
2. GMA Network Films (“Death Row”) Cast: Eddie Garcia. Director: Joel Lamangan. Genre: Action/drama.
3. RVQ Production (“Markova: Comfort Gay”) Cast: Dolphy, Eric Quizon, Jeffrey Quizon, and Loren Legarda. Director: Gil Portes. Genre: Drama/comedy.
