ROMNICK AND HARLENE MARRIED, EXPECTING FIRST CHILD

Quezon City, Dec. 20, 1999 Former child stars Harlene Bautista and Romnick
Sarmenta were sweethearts when he was 14 and she was 13. It was almost
inevitable that their puppy love did not result in a lasting relationship.
They parted.

She went on to have a love child by TV director Rico Gutierrez, who handles
the GMA-7 show “S-Files” as well as a recent commercial starring Aga
Muhlach. Harlene and Rico parted.

Twelve years after their puppy love romance ended, Harlene and Romick found
each other again last October. They went out a couple of times and
discovered they were still in love with one another. They got married last
November 12 at the Manila City Hall.

And now, the two are expecting their first child, writes Malaya columnist
and veteran journalist Ethel Ramos.
