Great ride guys! I hope all of you had as great of a time as we did.
Good to see Ralph and the Tric guys too.
A few highlights from our group:
Connor had a blast on his new YZ, after running out of gas ,fouling 2
plugs, then being rescued with a gatorade bottle full of gas with no
premix (we got it from his gas can, we didn't know he hadn't mixed it
yet!) He made it back to ride another few loops with us, picking up
lots of extra speed over past efforts on the ultra trick TTR 230 he
used to ride. I think the straight gas helped clean out all the built
up spooge in that thing.
Bailey got on his bike for the first time since crashing in the sand
at Cherokee about 3 months ago and was a bit rusty. He scared the heck
out of me when he froze on the bike wide open heading straight for the
trailer. Thanks to Connor's quick feet for catching him before he
crashed. Going to have to go back to square one with the boy but he
had a blast riding through most of the trails on me and Mark's
handlebars. At one point late in the day we stopped to rest and saw a
6 point buck out in the woods about 75 yards away.
I'm still picking sand out of my teeth from the roost sandwiches Scott
and Mark fed me all day, loads of fun blasting through the woods with
them on my KTM. Connor, Mark, and I rode until dark and were the last
to leave we were having such a blast. Bailey and Tyler had fun
exploring every inch of the property and having a few foot races. The
energizer bunny crashed out the second we pulled out of the gate then
woke up begging for some food.
How's the Waco guy that crashed? We thought he may have broken a
collarbone, hope he is ok. His wife was pretty cool about it all when
she arrived, maybe she let him have it later!
How about the videos Dave! Thanks for always taking time out to film
everyone.
Until the next ride I will be getting my vintage Kawis running, next
ride I plan to come out with my 27 year old KDX 175 to get some
practice in for the upcoming vintage races. If I could only find those
pesky parts that are no longer made...
Best Regards,
Brian Williams
