Hi Robert - fantastic work on Torc. It is so great. I'm using mythbuntu 0.27, iOS7 on an iPad.

I have a lot of videos from Coursera, arranged in folders by course. There is not much meta-data for these files, and there are a lot of them - 40 or 80 ten minute lectures per course. In Torc, these just appear under one group titled 'Movies' by default - so it displays 500 videos in a long list where the first ten entries are lecture 1, part 1. I moved to storage groups (individual folders registered in mythbackend), but this has not had the effect I wanted.

Do I just need to manually tag these, file by file, or am I missing something more fundamental, a setting or option that's already there?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the kind words-- To answer your question, the organization in the library is purely metadata based and there's no use of filenames or paths-- probably the best way to make this work would be to change the part about lecture and part # to the subtitle, and make the title the name of the course itself.  That should give you a more friendly sorting (or if you want to be fancy, make lecture the season number and part the episode number, while still making the course name the title-- then each course will be sorted into a group of it's own and ordered by lecture and part.

Hope this helps a little.

Best,

Robert
