iPad 3 with iOS 6.1.3

Torc has been a worthwhile purchase for me and well worth the investment. I'm patiently awaiting improvements.

I see that Delete was added for Recordings but in my case Delete doesn't persist if you toggle Display Live TV in Settings.

I can delete them from the library but if I toggle Display Live TV off, then back on again they are undeleted. (I know, why would I do that?)

I was just trying different settings to get more familiar with how Torc works and my manual deletion of 160 files was undone. Thought that might be a bug.

Mythtv appears to only keep two days worth of recordings in the livetv folder so I'm not sure why old files still appear in the Library.

Hi Paul,

I'll need to check, but it's likely a MythTV bug rather than an app bug.  Basically to do the delete we call the deletion API and get back a true or a false depending on whether it succeeded-- in truth, however, MythTV has merely marked the items for deletion and will do so at some later time.  It's possible that as they await deletion, MythTV is somehow deciding to show them as existing again when you toggle the filter like this.  The relevant question is, if you give it up to 24 hours (I know, I don't like MythTV's deletion logic in this respect either) do the recordings actually go away.  The Live TV on/off filter is just a flag for calling the recording list API-- there's no "post" of data, rather we're a passive receiver of it, so it can't actively undelete anything.

I'll see if I can't reproduce the issue and give you a more concrete answer about that is going on with the backend.

Robert

Robert,

Apologies for the double post but my first post was empty for a while and I figured I screwed up, so I replied to an older message.

Thanks for the quick response. I've been looking around in my Mythtv setup to try to figure out why the references persist. No luck yet.

Regards,
Paul
