Another review I received today:

Great new features but....... ★★★★
by Mythtv rocks - Version 1.04 - Mar 14, 2013

I have been using this app since your original release and have been
very happy. Unfortunately after I installed the latest version the
video playback will not rotate to landscape like the previous version.
I have verified the lock is off and other apps still rotate. Was this
removed in this version?

If the author of this review (or anyone similarly affected) could give
me more detail on device and iOS version, that would help me out. I
am testing in both the simulator and on my own iPad 3 w/ iOS 6, and
autorotate in video playback is working correctly. If anyone is
experiencing a similar problem and has any information to add (or any
insight as to why this user might be experiencing non-working
autorotate), I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Robert

(To more explicitly answer the reviewer's question, no, autorotate
hasn't been intentionally removed from video playback and appear to
work OK here)

Further info-- it looks like this is on iPhone only, and due to
changes in the iOS 6 SDK that make the MPMoviePlayerController honor
the rest of the app's autorotate settings (iPhone only supports
portrait orientation in the app screens due to space limitations).
I'll work on a solution to get MPMoviePlayerController to ignore the
app rotation settings.

Found a solution. Will test once I have my iPhone charged and push a
fix release for this user over the weekend. With a little luck it'll
get to those affected by next Friday.

The reviewer has updated this review to make it a one star review.
Feels a little punitive considering there aren't any other complaints,
but I'm working on the issue.

The "quick" solution didn't work out, so I continue to try to find a
clean solution. If I can rework one screen I should be able to enable
all rotation modes on iPhone/iTouch, but it's a complicated screen to
rework in the limited space and it's going to take me some time.

Thanks to this reviewer for updating his review-- With any luck the
app should go into review tomorrow, and if we're lucky and it makes it
through the first pass, I hope it'll be available to you guys before
the weekend.

And another thanks to this reviewer for updating again with success at
resolving his issue. Thanks, it means a lot to me. I am always
available to address issues and know that I'll never knowingly reduce
the feature set.
