There's great concert coming up at the Detroit Gaelic League this Saturday night, November 22nd at 7:15 PM. Experience an evening of unforgettable traditional Irish music with Shane Mulchrone, Michael Gavin, and Shannon Lee! Join us for a night celebrating the heart and soul of Irish tradition, featuring acclaimed performers. Hailing from County Mayo, Shane brings over two decades of mastery on the Irish tenor banjo, shaped by the vibrant musical traditions of Mayo and Sligo. Detroit’s own Michael Gavin, a seasoned multi-instrumentalist and member of the band Blackthorn, has performed alongside legends such as Liz Carroll and Kevin Burke. Completing the ensemble, Shannon Lee—featuring fiddler and vocalist Hannah Harris with guitarist and bodhrán player Alberto “Bear” Whitmer—blends lyrical fiddle lines and expressive guitar accompaniment inspired by their formative experiences along Ireland’s Shannon and Lee rivers. Together, they promise an unforgettable night of tunes, stories, and the true spirit of Irish tradition.
