Python/Zope Development Opportunity

Our Toronto-based publishing company is looking for a full-time Python
programmer to work on a variety of assignments related to our leading
search-engine project. (A part-time opportunity is also a possibility,
with flexibility in scheduling the hours to accommodate your other
commitments.]

For this position you must have the following qualifications:

- 2-5 years experience with the Python programming language;

- Thorough knowledge of Regular Expressions;

- In-depth knowledge of Internet technologies including http, xml,
html
and Javascript;

- Experience using SQL with large, complex, high-volume databases;

- Experience working in a Linux-based environment.


The following skills are not required but are definite assets:

- Experience with the Postgres SQL database;

- Knowledge and use of component design patterns;

- Experience with the Zope application server or the Zope Component
Architecture;

- Experience working with version control systems, particularly
bazaar;

- Experience working in agile and test-driven development
methodologies;

- Familiarity with basic Linux system administration tasks and best
practices;

external clients on a timely and professional basis;

- Excellent English communications skills.
