Description:
The Program Management Office within GBD Solutions Delivery is responsible for project
quality and delivery management including effective planning, issue and risk management,
And financial management of GBD’s strategic programs. The operations area within the PMO is
responsible for ensuring that all operations within the PMO are running efficiently and for
operational improvement of the PMO. The operational areas include resource management,
project contract services, reporting, and project logistics coordination. The operations areas
Will support both the entire PMO as well as individual projects.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE QUALITY MANAGER
Gives support to the Quality Director
- Support Quality Director in setup and deployment of new organization
- Support RACI analysis across teams
- Development of processes and tools for QM
- Coordination of issues and risks across program
- Other miscellaneous items.
Establish and conduct quality reviews on a project level
- Work with project teams to build schedule for each project
- Consolidate project level schedule into overall schedule.
- Communicate process to teams
- Develop improvements to the process on an ongoing basis.
- Review Quality Health assessment results and escalate items for resolution.
- Participate on project teams to provide
Leads and coordinates corrective actions within a project
Escalates change controls and dependencies for
The projects within their program
Working with the program to ensure that project and benefit transitions are appropriately conducted
Helps drive understanding and resolution of issues at a program level
- Work with project teams to ensure that issues and risks are identified at a project level
- Analyze issues and risks across projects to Dentify potential enterprise level issues and risks
- Develop recommendations to address enterprise Issues and risks
- Manage resolution of enterprise issues and risks.
Assists the Quality Director in establishing new projects and closing projects
- Develop T-minus plans to kickoff projects
- Facilitate project profiling (project initiation)
- Drive process improvements to profiling process (project initiation)
- Work with PM’s to capture lessons learned and facilitate consolidation of lessons learned at program level
- Ensure that enterprise project lessons learned are translated into action plans for resolution.
Individuals in Project Management are professionals who are responsible for the overall
Success of a wide range of projects of varying levels of complexity. Project Managers are
accountable for project initiation and planning, and for overseeing development, testing,
Implementation and closeout. This includes initial project planning efforts such as
Developing the project scope, defining project guidelines, obtaining business and IT sponsor
Approvals and coordinating the resources necessary to successfully complete the project.
Once a project is set in motion, the Project Manager is expected to communicate major
Milestones identify potential project risks; provide continuing direction to the project team,
And conduct regular status meetings to review project activities. Project Management
professionals are also responsible for prioritizing procedures for changing scope and
Project acceptance procedures. Nearing project completion, the Project Manager is expected to
Obtain feedback to assure that project efforts meet customer expectations for agreed upon
Schedule, cost and objectives. Project Managers are expected to provide the highest level of
