Network Security Systems Engineer Global Service Center Technical Support – Service line Network-Security requires an additional resource for servicing client’s global WAN (Wide Area Network), WLAN (Wireless LAN) and LAN (Local Area Network) environment within the international community. This global team is responsible for network performance and stability and operates in a 24 X 7, follow the sun, concept. The candidate will act as a part of a global team. He/She should be able to handle global tasks (including hand-over to next shift) as well as specific projects (i.e. MPLS Upgrade, WAN redesign LA, LAN/ WLAN Refresh, etc). When acting in international team-activities, major focus would lie in Servicing America’s time zone (Canada, North America, and LA)
He/She should be able to configure, trouble shoot, and install HP and Cisco LAN switches without assistance. The candidate will need to support remote technicians/ venders over the phone to insure remote installations are performed in accordance with the global client standards. Experience with Aruba access points and controllers are also desired since the Cisco environment will be refreshed along side the LAN refresh project. Ability to analyze packet captures maybe required when troubleshooting. For specific projects and standard maintenance on-call-duty on weekends (from Friday evening -> take over duty from Europe until Monday early morning -> hand-over duty to other teams) is required. Candidate must possess good communication skills (English), as he/she has to clearly and professionally communicate with our international IT-managers and Global and Regional Service Partners.
