Can't get Log4Net to log when app is started

Hi,

I asked a question on Stack Overflow a couple of days ago and not had much of a response. Could anyone help me solve my issue. There's a GitHub repository you can clone and reproduce the issue locally. Essentially it is this:

When I install and start my service, the logging works fine for all the TopShelf logs, but none of my application logs. If I restart the service the logs suddenly start working.
