We will primarily be reflecting on the year and voting to approve the Friends of TOPS budget for 2021-22 (link on the Agenda). Please note the following factors when reviewing the proposed budget:
Fundraising during the pandemic was purposefully minimal.
Program proposal requests far exceeded the funds raised this year.
Site Council allocated a significant amount of funds that have accumulated over past years (“reserves”) in order to create the budget for next year.
Working with Principal Schwentor, we were able to identify some program proposals that could be funded from alternate sources. Those programs will not appear in the Friends of TOPS budget, but will be funded!
If you cannot attend but have any questions, ideas, or concerns please let me know. I would love to hear from you!
