Position: Applied AI / AI Platform Architect
Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite) – Preferred Locals
Duration: 6+ months contract
Job Description:
Applied AI / AI Platform Architect
For this role, I think the best fit would be a hands-on Applied AI / AI Platform Architect rather than a traditional enterprise architect.
We need someone who can define AI architecture and direction but also work directly with the team to build and deploy reusable acceleration patterns.
The ideal profile would have recent hands-on experience with:
- Python engineering and production AI/ML code
- Databricks and MLflow and even Azure AI Foundry
- RAG and LLM application architecture
- Agentic AI patterns and tool-based workflows
- Evaluation frameworks for LLMs/models
- Reusable accelerators, templates, and reference implementations
The goal is to bring in someone who can help make the team faster and more capable, not just provide strategy. They should be able to push applied AI practices forward around evals, AI ops, agents, reusable skills/components, and production deployment
Skills: AI Agents
Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
