Position: Market Data Application Support Analyst

Location: NYC, NY (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months contract

 

Job Description:   

The Market Data Application Support Analyst is a technical role focused on supporting market data applications and data feeds. The team operates as a cross-business technology unit, collaborating with counterparts in APAC, EMEA, and NA through a follow-the-sun model. The role emphasizes issue resolution, process sharing, and product rollouts, supporting all lines of business across various asset classes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Provide support for core Market Data services/applications, including Open Bloomberg, LSEG Workspace, FactSet, Arcontech Excelerator, Market Axess, and others.

·         Offer technical support for a wide range of broker and trading applications including Tradeweb, ICAP, Brokertec, Tullet Prebon, and Tradition

·         Coordinate vendor software packaging, including scripting, QA testing, and production release.

·         Proactively monitor the environment, manage changes, and deliver projects.

·         Participate in reviewing hygiene metrics and processes for continuous improvement.

·         Manage daily operations, incident resolution, and change management activities.

·         Collaborate with plan/build & engineering teams for smooth transitions from project to business as usual.

·         Partner with vendors to drive technical strategy and application delivery.

·         Full ownership, accountability, and hold external vendors accountable on root causes when issues arise

  

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with virtual desktop environments and streaming platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with traders, support teams, and vendors.
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting and managing high-profile issues.
  • Familiarity with change management structdres and problem ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell and visual basic.
  • Strong documentation skills and a commitment to knowledge management.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and innovative with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing workflow under pressure.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Cloud paging / Numecent experience and knowledge
  • Background in risk, compliance, and control for managing IT and market data control gaps
  • Automation through scripting and programming languages

 

 

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
