Role: ETL QA Engineer

Location: Woodland Hills, CA or  Los Angeles, CA

Duration: 8+ months

Pay Rate: $55/hr on C2C

 

Description:

 

Descriptions:

 

"Key Responsibilities:

• Validate source to target data mappings for accuracy and business correctness.

• Perform data reconciliation between source systems and target databases.

• Verify ETL transformations, aggregations, calculations, and derivations.

• Perform end to end data flow validation (Source Staging Target).

• Validate business transformation rules against functional requirements.

• Ensure compliance with domain specific rules (property & casualty insurance)

• Collaborate with Business SMEs to ensure data meaning is preserved after transformation

• Create and maintain: ETL test strategy, Test scenarios and test cases, Data validation checklists • Design test cases for: Full loads, Incremental loads, Delta and historical data loads

• Execute testing for: Smoke testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT support, Reconciliation, and regression testing

• Identify, log, and track ETL defects with clear root cause analysis.

• Work closely with ETL developers and data engineers to resolve issues.

• Validate defect fixes through retesting and impact analysis.

• Produce data quality and test execution reports."

 

 

"Required Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on experience in executing projects in Agile methodology

• Strong experience in ETL testing and data validation.

• Solid understanding of ETL architecture and data pipelines.

• Hands on expertise in SQL (advanced queries, joins, aggregates).

• Strong understanding of SDLC / STLC, especially in data centric projects

• Understanding on Snowflake architecture

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
