iOS Technical Lead
Location: PA & NC (Hybrid – but must be local)
Duration: Longterm
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced iOS Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-performance native mobile applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, product owners, and scrum teams to deliver scalable, high-quality mobile solutions while mentoring engineers and driving best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with architects to implement high-performance iOS applications
- Lead system analysis, design, development, and implementation of native mobile apps
- Translate user stories into technical design, code, and test artifacts
- Mentor team members on platform usage, performance optimization, and best practices
- Research and adopt modern software development techniques to improve quality and velocity
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to balance business value and technical debt
- Ensure code quality through design, code, and test reviews
- Support deployments across development, test, and production environments
- Provide post-production support, documentation, and change management
- Contribute to a highly collaborative and inclusive team environment
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in native iOS application development
- Proficiency in Swift / Objective-C (JavaScript knowledge is a plus)
- Solid understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, dependency injection, and testable code
- Experience working with Scrum / Agile teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Experience delivering large, cross-team projects
- Exposure to cloud platforms, microservices, and mobile/web frameworks
Preferred Skills
- Latest iOS SDK & Xcode
- Swift 5
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Fastlane)
- Version control using Git / GitHub
- Monitoring & logging tools: Honeycomb, Splunk
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of overall software development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on mobile development experience
