Position: Data Solutions Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ months contract
Rate: $45/hr on C2C
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Primary role will be to support the DaaS/Digital Marketplace product deployments, support and customizations per customer requirements
- Support automated monthly uploads & refreshes to Google Marketplace Platform
- Troubleshoot issues with initial config and data set publishing to Google Marketplace, AWS and Snowflake
- Execute administrative tasks such as creating buckets/views for new products and shares for customers on Google Marketplace and Google Cloud
- Establish automated QC for new product data set transfers to Google Marketplace, AWS and Snowflake platforms
- Create and install new product configurations on Google, AWS and Snowflake cloud platforms
- Responsibilities include design, estimate and build custom applications/solutions, meeting with customers to gather and understand requirements, managing multiple large databases, defining populations and variables, perform analysis, present analysis findings, administration and maintenance of analytical environment, mentoring and support.
- Lead and develop a repeatable framework enabling automation across DaaS delivery channels (Snowflake, AWS, Google)
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of relational database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery)
- Strong knowledge of appropriate programming and scripting languages such as Python and SQL
- Google Cloud environment experience and/or certification
- Cloud computing, SaaS (Software as a Service)
- Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub)
- Strong Unix/Linux experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and debugging techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with batch processing applications.
- Experience in file manipulation and in working with multiple file types (ex. Binary, Fixed Block, Delimited, XML).
- Preferred experience in Big Data analytics (Hadoop, Greenplum, Big Query).
Skills: PostgreSQL~MySQL
Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
