Position: Release Engineer

Location: Hartford, CT (Onsite) – Local to EST/CST

Duration: 6+ months

Experience Level: 10+ years

 

Description:

 

 

Role Description:

Coordinate release activities, sign-up tracking, and record-keeping across Non-Prod and Prod environments.

Execute checkout validation during releases, including night Production releases, and follow up with application teams during the day.

Review logs, perform basic API and SQL validations, and support issue triage during release activities.

Maintain release documentation, participate in team meetings, and support additional release-related tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills:

Experience using Jira, ADO, ServiceNow, Excel, and Teams to manage tasks, defects, change records, and communication.

Strong organizational and documentation skills to support release coordination activities.

Ability to collaborate effectively with application teams during and after release events.

Familiarity with release processes across Non-Prod and Production environments.

 

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
