Okso i bought a sealed copy on PS3 to get the online pass included, the problem is the online pass was expired not used but the code expired March 2020, this is for the EU version so not sure for the other versions but i'm guessing they all expire by then?

So yeah just a warning not to bother buying a sealed copy for the online pass, however the online pass on the store for 7.99 works, upon purchase i straight away got access to online so for any new users wanting to go online, you have to purchase the online pass on the store sadly.

Sealed copy We Are Tekken collector release (BLES-01702) purchased nearly 9 years ago, I could redeem the code on my PS4 without any problem.

Code was said to expire on 31 March 2016.

I'd like to add that I found a used copy of this at a Cash Converters here in Australia for $3 and the code miraculously worked. Earlier this year. Could be a region thing but there may still be hope for others.

Tried to contact Bandai-Namco customer support but got swiftly ignored. Highly annoying that they couldn't bother to print the expiration date on the back of the box at least; most other games with important redeemable codes does that.

I kinda like the idea of an online pass. It makes sure the developer get's there money, and can afford to keep making games. I'd rather pay the extra $5 and support the developer, and get the box and instruction manual in good condition than save the $5.

@SilentHunter382 However, to experience online play, couldn't your friend just play it online on your console? So many people focus on online multiplayer because they don't have to be social but playing local multiplayer can be even more fun. Invite your friend round for a night of fighting and then they can decide if they want the game.

But I dislike online passes a lot, seeing that when I got my PS3 Mass Effect 2 new, the pass had expired, even though the game had been out for less than a year... Seriously EA? Nintendo can keep Cub Nintendo codes for like 5 years, and you can't make online passes for even that? I call bull plop...

There wasn't even enough change left over to for a second controller, but when I saw that intro playing for the first time, I was instantly hooked.
