Hey all,
A couple of updates re our seminar:
1) First of all, I made a website:
http://math.stanford.edu/~anton/seminar2010.html
Not much on there at this point, aside from a list of some of the
topics that we proposed last week.
2) Alex and I still have not gotten too much feedback regarding what
you guys want to do this semester. Like we said, we kind of want to
have some sort of progression in the talks (perhaps following a book/
paper) as opposed to just individual topics and speakers. So PLEASE
EMAIL (say me) if you have any opinion regarding this, and especially
if you want to present something that fits that theme.
3) Also, we're still trying to sort out a good time for the seminar
since it looks like the current slot (Thursday at 10AM) won't work for
some of the folks originally interested in this. I'm not sure the
best way to do this, but I have set up a 'doodle' for people to vote
on times slots:
http://www.doodle.com/zcihai4tyar37a83
Please add your name and check the times that are GOOD for you, that
seems to be the Doodle convention (ie you should have lots of
checks). Hopefully we can get some info before the meeting tomorrow.
4) and just a reminder, we meet tomorrow at 10AM in Evans 939 (or do
you say it 939 Evans?).
See you!
