Dear all,
This week we'll take a bit of a detour in our seminar - Benjamin
Matschke (visiting from TU Berlin) will give us an overview of
topological obstructions to combinatorial maps, in the spirit of those
nonembeddable cubical complexes that we saw last week.
Next week we will return to topics related to the Buchstaber-Panov
book, either homotopy colimits (one way to view generalized DJ spaces)
or else more detailed discussion of the (equivariant) cohomology of DJ
spaces. Volunteers for speakers are requested.
In related news, Benjamin will be speaking about his own research in
today's topology seminar (at 4pm I believe?). Check it out!
In any case see you tomorrow (Thursday): 10-11 AM, 939 Evans.
