next question... Topodroid crashed while uploading the FW and the distoX doesn't switch on anymore. What can be done?

TopoDroid Apks:

WARNING - DistoX2 firmware upload: TopoDroid versions from 6.1.68 to 6.2.81 included have a bug in the DistoX2 firmware functions. Do not use any of these versions to upload firmwares to a DistoX2.

It should still be possible to start your device in Bootloader mode (PLUS, MINUS, and DIST).

If not, it might be necessary to reset the CPU: Open the device and short two pins as shown in the appended picture.

After the reset you have to start it in Bootloader mode. Otherwise it might crash again.

it happened with TD version 6.2.85-35.

It doesn't start with plus-minus-dist.

firmware update of distox2 could not be tested recently.

i suggest uploading the 2.5 firmware with v. 5.1.40 that can be downloaded from the download page.

or try with a recent version 6.3.* and let me know if it works or there are problems.

(unfortunately it is not easy to debug "remotely").

resetting the CPU did the trick to restart in bootable mode. Did the FW upload using v5.1.40 and it worked!
