Hello everyone, i'm Ícaro, a speleologist from Brazil.

I’ve been using TopoDroid X to generate cave sketches (plan and profile views), and I noticed an issue: when exporting the drawings to DXF format and opening them in AutoCAD, the icons (such as blocks and coralloids) appear disproportionately large — much bigger than they appear within the app itself.

Does anyone know if the icon size is stored with scale info in the DXF file? Is there any way to control this behavior from within TopoDroid X, or any method to correct it during post-processing?

Thanks in advance for any help or insights you can share!

In DXF output, point symbols are drawn at the default (zoomed settings) size.
The default medium-sized stone block is 1 meter.

Is there any way to control or scale the size of these point symbols during the DXF export process?

More specifically:

  • Is there an export setting or configuration that adjusts symbol sizes?

  • Can the default dimensions of these symbols be customized in TopoDroid X?

  • Has anyone found a workflow to make DXF exports more faithful to the on-screen layout, particularly regarding point symbol proportions?

I appreciate any technical guidance or suggestions. Thank you!

The DXF follows the screen quite accurately with the default settings.
Drawing programs (e.g. AutoCAD) provide numerous options for manipulating the drawing, including changing the blocks.
