Skyrim Se Black Screen After Loading

I would like someone to enlighten my ideas regarding this problem , because I have looked in several places and the ways that cause this so far are caused by mods that I do not use. i just reinstalled my skyrim recently and never had a problem with it before, at the moment this problem occurs when i try to enter DIMHOLLOW CRYPT the loading screen ends but everything is dark with just the noise of the wind from the entrance to the cave and the running water :confused:
from this list I only have a lighting mod ELFX-HARDCORE(now i use normal versionthe only one diference) , but i always used this mod before and no problem ,also removes the mods that change the npcs and even then it still continued
If so, this could simply be a glitch. try opening an earlier save, from before when you chose the quest, play a bit more then choose it again after coming at the quest trigger "from a different angle" so to speak. Not sure why, (maybe crap meshes or something in a randomly spawned creature/bandit) but doing that often resolves these failures on entering a cave/ruin for me..
I created a new save and went to the same cave and it entered normally then I went back to the old one but before starting the dawnguard mission and it also entered after I started the mission and I went again the dark screen came back , it is probably some of the vampires that the game puts there
problem solved, apparently a racialskinvariance esp that fixes vampire npcs was causing this, before I used it too but it didn't cause such a problem because it was way up in the load order and was being replaced by other mods, but now it's down of all esp was working and causing this.(my theory)
Well, I reinstalled the game, fresh and then installed the latest STEP release and everything worked wonderfully... until today, when suddenly my saves seem to have broken, they load just fine but when they finish all I get is a blackscreen. I can still hear noise but can't move or bring up the menu. Been googling around for solutions but found nothing that has worked, so any ideas how to fix this or am a I condemned to restart my quests once more?
Look at the posts on "infinite loading screen" or similar wording as that is what is happening to your game. It is typically solved without having to redo portions of the game, but you may have to try a number of potential solutions before finding one that works.
When it happens to me, the first thing I usually do is to revert the Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files to their original states and see if this fixes the problem. If it does, then you can gradually add the tweaks you use making sure that the saved games load.
this is STEP default for the Zfighting. And I don't know how, though I did it, it got some more values added to it. So after thinking it was preloadsize/shadows/Draw Block Distance/something else...it was this all along.
NOTE that I did NOT have the infinite loop transitioning from interior to exterior after I "RESTORED" my skyrimprefs to the Zfight fix under terrain manager. Was able to go where ever I wanted. No ctd/infinite load. And was able to raise values on shadows and what not.
And boy I'll tell yea. Copying and Pasting other peoples ini tweaks, even from reputable sites/ppl gets me into a lot of trouble and headaches. I must have 20 different Backed up ini folders from different tweaks. lol live and learn.
Every once in a while, and this can be anywhere from every five minutes to every other hour, I'll go through a load door and after loading receive nothing but a black screen. When this happens I have no other option than to close it via task manager. After I get the black screen I'll have some ambient noise, but no control, HUD, or dialogue. Sometimes the game will create the autosave before locking up, but loading that autosave will always result in the same black screen. So far, I've always been able to go back to a previous save, try the door again, and have it work.
Yeah. See, this is why you turn off the autosave. This is normal behavior for a Bethesda game. This is exactly why I always quicksave right before I enter a new location. Sometimes, it isn't the dreaded freeze. Sometimes the static for the whole room will mysteriously fail to appear, and you drop to the bottom the game engine's ethereal plane or whatever they call it.
Hi, I just installed the necessary mods for the realvision enb mods package and some other package to add armour,weapon hair type and eyes color, and now I got the same probleme sometime when I enter somewhere where it need to load, and sometime I got some bugg like the picture become real dark with a lot of color like a rainbow, and if I look in the sky the picture come back to normal but if I look back to where I was looking it start again with all the color and drakness so at this point I need to restart the game like for the black Screen loading problem. I will try to deactivate the autosave and to try what AYLeiDRuiN posted, if not working i let you know.
I had black screen with background sounds after load issue. Tried STEP Z-Fighting fix - it didn't help. Then I tried to delete Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini from saves location, then run launcher, it created new ones and black screen had gone. I decided to discover which config changes caused this. I started copying config lines from old Skyrim.ini to new one and black screen returned after adding this:
Unfortunately so far I have not discovered throughout the entire internet a solution to the problem, the only thing I managed to detect is that it is not exactly the mods of followers that cause this, in my case the fishery is what causes, I'm almost giving up anyversary edition. i play a version off steam and do not even know if I will install the SE again because the vortex give me a lot of trouble. in short... BUMP
I think I found a solution that works for me, though I am not sure how broadly applicable it might be. I use SSE Display Tweaks and had this issue when I enabled the dynamic papyrus update budget, I disabled that and I waited in the main menu for the theme music to play once before loading a save that previously consistently loaded to a permanent black screen and it loaded successfully. I know it is frustrating to wait for more loading after the game supposedly loads, but I think this is a fix for me at least. I have a heavy load order with many script heavy mods, so perhaps this is some background tasks going on to explain why this happens.
Went to enter a dungeon as a part of my main story quest line, Im currently lvl 21 and pretty far into the campaign. i got no loading screen and just got a black screen though my sound still seemed to be working. tried force closing and re logging to no avail. just forever stuck on a black screen with the sound of demons creeping about
Probably already heard the news. ( -anniversary-edition-loads-so-fast-its-making-some-mods-break-the-game/). But long story short; wtih the release of Skyrim: Anniversary edition, the Anniversary Update for Skyrim: SE, brought some new problems. Most infamously the "black screen", which happens everytime someone tries to load a quicksave or autosave from the previous version with the Anniversary update. New games or manual saves are unaffected. (Edit: Apparently even manual saves were affected as well).
As this issue is pretty common with the next gen versions, I highly encourage all players to regularily save the game every thirty minutes. Or even better, just wait until Bethesda fixes this as it can literally destroy your game experience both mentally and in-game.
There's a current issue in the PS5 vanilla version (not a transfered file from PS4, no mods, no anniversary upgrade!) where the game changes to a black screen after loading a save file. U can hear the sound from the loaded file but the screen just turns black with some fog swirling around and the controls being locked.
Does anybody now how to fix this? I already found out that the save data is not broken. Also, everything after my 4th save file does work, so the saves that won't load for me are "quicksave" and "autosave" 1 to 3. They were all saved in a time span of 5 minutes, i think this is some important information. Also if you are thinking that it has something to do with the saves being no manually saved one's, it doesnt. There are many reports of regular Saves also having this problem.
That answer must be a fucking Joke right? They release a PS5 Version on their TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY and won't fix a damn game breaking bug "in the near future" despite their awareness? What the actual fuck?
