Dear Prof. Aytül Kasapoglu,
You may have seen the new Discussion Forum for articles and topics raised in the journal European Societies. The
Forum can be found at http://myblogs.informa.com/europeansocieties/ . In addition to selected articles from the
journal there are regular Discussion Topics raised from within the various Study Groups of the Association. This
month’s topic, from the Race and Ethnic Relations Group, concerns the issues of Racism and anti-Semitism, and
the connections between them. Why not visit the site and contribute your thoughts to the debate that they have
initiated? Other topics current in the Discussion Forum are Migration, Neo-liberal policies, and the EU
Presidency. Next month’s topics will focus on articles work and non-work relations in the organisation of
care, and poverty trajectories and welfare regimes.
Contributions to the Discussions can be submitted at any time. This is your opportunity to engage with authors
and the wider membership of the European Sociological Association in developing our understanding of
contemporary Europe.
John Scott, Editor
Sincerely,
