Title:
Passionate Rails Developer Needed in Seattle

Posting Text:
iMedExchange is a value-add social network for physicians. We are a
well-funded, in-broad-daylight, Rails-based Seattle startup with lots
of momentum and a strong initial team. We have one Rails rock star on
staff and are looking to add the next couple. You will provide
technical leadership in the design and development of the system. If
you are looking for an environment that values productivity and using
every cool new technology, technique, or tool to get things done
faster and better, you're going to enjoy working here. We pay highly
competitive rates and there are benefits and equity opportunities as
well. Developer work environment is a top priority and you'll have
access to any and all the equipment needed to make your development
life better.
Duties:

# Design and development of key components and features of the system

# Participating in the detailed architecture, scalability and
optimization of the new platform while providing direction to a
complimentary offshore team.

# Conceptualize and innovate on new principles, concepts and
technologies impacting users of the new platform
Qualifications:

# 5+ years application design and development experience, with a
minimum 3 years of server-side development.

# Strong hands-on development experience working with a variety of
client-side and server-side web technologies (e.g. Linux, Apache,
MySQL, Ruby on Rails, AJAX , DHTML, CSS, REST, PHP / LAMP, etc.).

# Experience and enjoyment developing with Ruby on Rails. Our current
environment is a pleasant brew of all the latest and greatest in Ruby
on Rails development tools including Subversion, Mongrel, Capistrano,
Prototype, Scriptaculous, Edge Rails, RSpec, and more. We aren't
afraid to try the newest and most exciting technologies in order to
make development stronger, faster and more fun.

# Experience and preference for a fast paced agile work environment
where developer happiness and productivity are valued above
documentation and conforming to "industry standards".

# Disgust of grunt work and instinctive desire to automate repetitive
tasks.
