You could not pick a better time to get back into rugby! We just started indoor training yesterday, so you have not missed much. We are very excited for the upcoming season as we have gained a new very experienced head coach. Adrian Horne has an amazing resume taking many teams to the next level, including national championships. He is from England but currently resides here in Topeka. It is really great to have a knowledgeable voice that makes practice a learning environment while keeping things fun.

We are currently hosting indoor practices at Whitson Elementary School in the gym, 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have the gym from 630-730 so we generally do warm ups and conditioning outside starting at 6. Since we go indoors we recommend having athletic shorts and t's under your sweats. Regular tennis shoes and maybe a mouth guard is everything else you need (we have minimal contact inside due to wood floors). We have two months of indoor training till we play our first match against the British Defense Academy at WU Yager Stadium under the lights. This is an annual benefit match to help raise money for fallen TPD officers. Truly an amazing match!

Attached are the notes from last week’s winter informal. Please take a sec to look through it. Also is a flyer for the St. Pats Tournament. This is always a fun event, and any help we can get for it is greatly appreciated.

*******ATTENTION: We have a chance to do some fundraising for FOP, and get our community service in! We should plan on doing a 1pm practice this Saturday then hit the Zumba fundraiser! This might be a good recruting event as well! INFO below:

Hey all,
Now that the new year is here it is time to start practicing some rugby. I know a few have heard about indoor training and its true. We will be finding a gym for 1hr once or twice a week for most of Jan. Topeka has a pretty solid schedule this spring with highlights consisting of the British Defense academy, and hosting our St Pats Tournament.   We will set the time for 7pm at Specks this Thursday to conduct the TRFC spring informational. Our new coach Adrian Horne will be in attendance to introduce himself to anyone that has yet to meet him. Hope to see everyone their, come late if necessary even to just pick up info paperwork.  Hey all,

 Now that fall is here it is time to start practicing some rugby. I know a few have heard  training starting on July 28th and its true. Be sure to be out Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 at McDonald pitch. Topeka will have a pretty solid schedule with us returning the D3. It should be posted after the MARFU AGM this weekend.  We will have an award dinner at Blind Tiger Sunday August 16th at 5:30 pm. Trophies will be provide to the mvps voted in at the end of last season. Hope to see everyone out. Current info is posted everyday on the Facebook Topeka rugby Group site!
