Subject: 2014 Heartland 7s: Final Update & Schedule for Teams in the Men's Open Division
Heartland 7’s Men’s Open Division Teams,
The Heartland 7’s is just one day away, and I wanted to be sure that you guys have everything you need prior to traveling to Legacy Park tomorrow, including the match schedule to help you manage travel plans.
We are confirmed to have a 14-team Men’s Open Division. This means we’ll have 2 pools of 3 teams, and 2 pools of 4 teams, and everyone is guaranteed 4 matches – with 5 matches to win the Cup. The final schedule for the Men’s Open Division is attached – you will be using the same 2 fields all day. We had to guess on the seeding and likely didn’t get it perfect, but we also wanted to be sure to split up the Gryphons teams, and spilt up the SC7A teams.
Tournament rules and regulations are attached – please note the Team Tent area on the field layout, the Athlete Pass provision for park re-entry, as well as some of the other facility details.
The Captain’s Meeting will be at 9:30AM for the Men’s Open Division, and will be facilitated by Division Coordinator Brian English.
Please turn in the attached roster form at the meeting, with valid CIPP numbers listed.
Captains MUST have a signed waiver (attached) for EACH of your players ready to turn in at the Captain’s Meeting as well.
The first match in the Men’s Open Division will start at 10:00am, and the Championship is scheduled for 5:40pm.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Tournament Coordinators Pete Kowalski (913-488-2396), and Eric Munninghoff (816-804-6363).
Additional notes below (from the email I sent earlier this week).
Travel safe from AR, CO, and KS and MO!
