I didn't want to update yesterday when Dad had a bad day and they had to up his O2 to 50 and his PEEP to 8 (for all you Drs and nurses), but he's still struggling today, though they didn't have to raise those numbers any more, so he's no worse. They've also started up the BP meds again.

They also said his daily lung x-ray is looking worse today so they started him on antibiotics again (when did they stop?!?) even before they did the cultures to see if it is actually caused by bacteria. If not, I suppose there's nothing to be done except what they have been doing.

The doctor called Mom earlier today to tell her that if there's no improvement, they might want to do a tracheotomy next week, so he wanted the family to be thinking about whether we want to do that. Dad would have to test Covid-negative twice before they could do the procedure.

Sunday the 26th was one month since he got sick.

My cousin Nicki is also in a battle for her life (again) as she is not responding to the antibiotics they are able to use on her to fight her infections.

As my concerns pile up, I marvel that God is there for anyone who goes looking for Him, no matter how many troubles we bring, even though there are around 7.7 billion people on Earth.
