Sam and I found a dead Luna Moth on our walk this morning. It seems early to me but I'm definitely not an expert.

Terry,
That one probably pupated too late last fall in time to fully develop, and so over-wintered in the cocoon and just recently emerged. Their lifespan as an adult is only a couple of weeks.
